Lotus BW
ADOBE - The Lotus B&W pack compliments the color pack and features two signature monochromatic presets that are Nirav’s main treatments for both his wedding and portrait work. These treatments can go from a high contrast look to a softer more elegant feel with a few simple modifications. The included modifiers simplify the editing process and streamline workflow to help create stunning black and whites while also saving time. The feel of these presets is highly inspired by movies like Roma and Ida and was also inspired by the works of master photojournalists in the 60’s and 70’s.

BW PRESETS:
MONOCHROME 1
A timeless BW treatment that gives you a bold look while still maintaining a nice balance of detail in the shadows and highlights. Contrast as well as highlight and shadow detail can easily be managed using the provided modifiers to get the feel of your images right where you want them. This preset works best for images with low to medium contrast.
Modifiers: Brighten Whites, Grain, Highlight Recovery, Shadow Recovery
MONOCHROME 2
A timeless BW preset that gives you a softer more delicate look and preserves more detail throughout. I typically only need to slightly adjust the contrast and black slider to where I like it after applying the treatment, making editing faster and photo consistency much greater. This preset works best for images that have a medium to high contrast.
Modifiers: Brighten Whites, Grain, Highlight Recovery, Shadow Recovery
MODIFIERS:
BRIGHTEN WHITES
For images where you want to get a bit more of an edgy and high contrast look, this modifier adds a very slight pop to the highlights while preserving the shadows.
GRAIN
Add different levels of grain based on film speeds of 160, 400, 1600, and 3200. 160 delivers minimal grain and a cleaner image while 3200 adds much more grain but still maintains a beautiful artful and filmic look.
HIGHLIGHT RECOVERY
Used to recover detail within the highlights of an image. I prefer modifiers that are subtle so you won’t see a huge jump in your image when applying this.
SHADOW RECOVERY
Used to recover detail within the shadows of an image
TOOLS:

Fixes lens distortion, vignetting, and chromatic aberration.
LEVEL
Straightens and fixes angled lines.
