DIARIES

Diaries is my signature color preset built to make images feel warmer, softer and more intimate. In this preset, the shadows are lifted and the highlights lowered to create soft transitions in high contrast images shot in low light situations. The green and blue hues give place to warmer tones throughout the photos. Originally designed to be used for indoor Boudoir photos, Diaries will also create a warm and intimate atmosphere for portraits sessions, family sessions and wedding “getting ready” moments.

DIARIES B+W

Diaries Black and White has the unique ability to soften high contrast Boudoir images captured with low light by increasing its dynamic range while preserving the true blacks and whites. It has been a game changer in my ability to create black and white images that communicate the same softness, tension, tenderness and intimacy as my color photos without compromising its monochromatic qualities.

Modifiers: Blacks - Lift, Contrast +, Contrast -, Grit, Increase Black, Whites - Mute

WARMTH

Warmth is my go to modifier to create the signature warm and intimate look in my images. It replaces green and cyan with orange and yellow hues throughout the overall image.

BLACKS - DEEPEN

Blacks Deepen increases contrast without affecting the highlights.

BLACKS - TRUE

For images with strong highlights that still lack in contrast, Blacks True increases depth in the shadows without compromising the highlights.

BRIGHTEN

Brighten increases the image’s dynamic range by softening the shadows while preserving highlights. Ideal for high contrast images where highlights are already stretched.

CONTRAST +

Contrast creates a more dramatic look by gently increasing the image’s contrast.

INCREASE BLACK

Ideal for images shot with direct backlight, Increase Black adds contrast to very “soft” by adding black to the shadows while keeping the highlights unchanged.

SHADOWS GREEN

Shadows Green adds green hue to the shadows adding more depth of color to the image.

SHADOWS MAGENTA

Shadows Magenta increases the magenta hue in the shadows adding more depth of color to the image.

CONTRAST + / -

Contrast + and - modifiers easily adds or removes contrast from your black and white images.

BLACKS - LIFT

Blacks - Lift softens the blacks to create a High ISO film look to your black and white photo.

GRIT

Grit says it all! This modifier can be used to create a less polished look to the Diaries Black and White Preset.

INCREASE BLACK

Increase Black adds black to the shadows without compromising the highlights. Ideal for images shot outdoor or with direct light.

WHITES - MUTE

Whites - Mute adds more grey to the whites, making the images feel softer and more timeless.

Slide left for hard light, right for soft.

Slide left for skin, right for sky.
