PRESETS:

QUEENS GAMBIT

Jason’s go-to starting point. Bold and dramatic with warm tones throughout followed by deep colors and contrast that pops.

Included Profile Slider - Tailor your image from cool to warm and anywhere in between with this slider. More than a simple white balance change, this slider adjusts the tones of the image at the very foundation of the edit.

QUEENS GAMBIT DECLINED

Still bold and amazing, but more subdued. This preset will deliver better skin tones overall, especially in the shadows.

Included Profile Slider - This slider offers the same functionality as the Queens Gambit Slider, just a bit more subtle.

CARO-KANN

Jason’s go-to black and white preset giving contrast that pops, while maintaining dynamic range.

Included Profile Slider: If you want even more contrast, use this slider to dial things to 200% without clipping your black points and highlights.

MODIFIERS:

CONTRAST CURVE +/-

The curves of the preset are the base of your images' contrast. These modifiers let you add or remove contrast when the image calls for it.

DYNAMIC RANGE +

When you want to see more details on the shadows and highlights, this modifier will be your best friend.

WB COOL

The profile slider for each color preset lets you adjust the tones of the image from cool to warm. This modifier lets you quickly adjust that slider to max cool with a simple click.

WB WARM

The profile slider for each color preset lets you adjust the tones of the image from cool to warm. This modifier lets you quickly adjust that slider to max warm with a simple click.

BACKGROUND BURN AI

Quickly lets you burn down the background to let your subject take center stage. All with a single click.

BACKGROUND POP AI

Extra contrast and saturation looks great on the background, but terrible on skin tones. This modifier lets you quickly give your background that added pop without affecting your subject.

SUBJECT DECLINED

The Queens Gambit may occasionally give you some red, overly saturated shadows in the skin tones. If that happens, give this modifier a click to clean things up!

QUICKBURN

While Quick Burn can be used like any other preset in Lightroom, these are specifically designed to be used with a device, such as Loopdeck, to let you quickly burn certain edges in an image without having to open the masking panel.

BRUSHES:

BACKGROUND POP

Similar to the Background Pop AI, but now you can selectively add it anywhere you want with any of the local adjustment tools.

BLACKOUT

Sometimes you’ll want to burn part of an image all the way to black, and sometimes taking the exposure slider all the way down isn't enough. This blackout brush will burn even the brightest highlight to black without having to stack multiple brushes.

WHITEOUT

Sometimes you want to dodge part of an image all the way to white, and sometimes taking the exposure slider all the way up isn't enough. This Whiteout brush will dodge even the darkest shadows to white without having to stack multiple brushes.

HIGHLIGHT BURN

There isn't much that can draw a viewers eye away from your subject like an out of control highlight. This local adjustment will help you burn down those pesky highlights with ease while maintaining a natural look.

SHADOW PULL

Breath life back into your shadows with this local adjustment. Specially designed to bring shadows up without affecting surrounding midtones and highlights.

WARM DODGE

This brush will let you dodge areas of an image while adding warmth. Great for adding a bit of drama to a sun flare or even adding some sunflare that’s not actually there. Use the adjustment in combination with Cool Burn for some added color contrast.

COOL BURN

Burn areas of an image while also adding some cool blue tones. Perfect to use in combination with Warm Dodge for some added color contrast.
