Nessa’s background is in illustration. She loves deep, saturated colors that could be straight out of a paint tube. Her first favorite photographer was William Eggleston, who used heavily saturated primary colors beautifully, intentionally and honestly. If she could get her hands on any film in the history of photography, it would be Kodachrome, and the way she processes her images are heavily inspired by that. Warm toned images with saturated reds and deep yellows are where it’s at. |
These presets pay homage to Kodachrome. Saturated, warm colors punctuated by robust reds and delicious yellows are juxtaposed with flat, de-emphasized cool tones. This pack was created for those photographers that love using color more as a feeling than as a description.
My entire life, I’ve been in love with the act of documentation, taking photos of everything and keeping notebooks of observations. I wrote a journal entry at the age of 7 stating I would someday be an artist. I scribbled the words “I don’t want to be famous, but I want people to want my art.”
As profound as my literary self-realizations were at 7 years old, it’s admittedly a little difficult to write about myself. Not to mention it’s much more interesting to tell stories using photographs, which thankfully, is exactly what I get to do. I narrate the world using captivating light and a series of photos that tell the story about the everyday you. Images that draw you back into that moment, that make you feel beautiful, that say exactly who you are. - Nessa |
